This DIY terrarium kit brings the autumn season indoors with a spooky twist. The Emma glass jar has a diameter of 23cm and stands 25cm tall, giving you plenty of room to create a Halloween scene with miniature figures from the spooky crew set.
The kit contains everything you need to build a closed terrarium. Add the miniature Halloween figures wherever you like between the plants and moss. The result is a seasonal decoration that stays fresh for months inside the sealed glass.

Step by step instructions
How to build it
Start with a layer of clay pebbles at the bottom for drainage. Sprinkle activated charcoal over it to keep the soil fresh. Add the potting soil and place your plants. Press the soil down gently around the roots. Arrange the moss and natural materials to create a forest floor effect. Position the spooky crew miniatures where you want them in the scene. Add a small amount of water and close the jar with the cork lid.
Seasonal decoration
This Halloween terrarium works as autumn and Halloween decoration for your table, windowsill or shelf. The spooky crew miniatures give it a playful seasonal character. After Halloween, you can swap the figures for other decorations and keep the terrarium going year round.
This silver moss arrives alive in a plastic tray. Lightly mist it with water and the moss comes back to life and starts growing again. The tray holds 2 layers of 20 x 30 x 10 cm, so you get around 0.12 m² of moss surface to work with.
Living moss for decoration or terrarium
The moss works well as decoration on its own or inside a terrarium. The silver colour adds a soft contrast to green plants and natural materials. You can use a whole layer or cut pieces to size.
How to revive the moss
Spray the moss lightly with water. It absorbs the moisture and begins to grow. Keep it slightly damp if you want it to stay green and fresh. The moss does not need much water, just a light misting now and then.

The terrarium regulates its own humidity and only needs water once or twice a year.
The Christmas terrarium comes as a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) kit and is carefully assembled. Because it contains seasonal products, the contents may vary slightly from the product photo. However, we always provide a fitting and atmospheric replacement.
Tip: After the holidays, you can continue using the terrarium by removing the Christmas decorations or by completely refreshing it with one of our terrarium refill sets.

The plants can remain in the box for up to 48 hours after delivery. Giving it as a gift? Then select your preferred delivery date in the shopping cart, or unpack the plants upon arrival and give them some water, daylight, and a bit of love.

After Christmas, you can reuse the terrarium by removing the festive decoration or refreshing it completely with a terrarium refill set.
Because it contains seasonal products, the contents may differ slightly from the photo. We always ensure a suitable and atmospheric replacement.
Plants such as Aloe Humilis and Picea are not typical terrarium plants and will not stay beautiful as long in a closed terrarium compared to plants that are specially suited for it.
The terrarium does not include a cork. Our limited Christmas editions are offered without a cork because the decorative items are not designed for a closed terrarium. Make sure to keep the plants and moss inside the terrarium moist at all times.
