Mini ecosysteem onderhouden 

Een gesloten mini-ecosysteem of flessentuin is een zelfvoorzienend ecosysteem dat zich bevindt in een afgesloten fles of glazen pot. Het bestaat uit levende organismen, zoals planten, mossen en micro-organismen, die samenwerken om een evenwicht te creëren. Deze organismen recyclen voedingsstoffen en produceren zuurstof, terwijl ze afvalstoffen afbreken. Door de afgesloten omgeving kunnen water en voedingsstoffen circuleren, waardoor een eigen microklimaat ontstaat. Een terrarium is een gesloten zelfvoorzienend ecosysteem waarin planten gedijen dankzij de watercyclus. Door de transparante fles of pot kunnen zonlicht en warmte naar binnen komen, waardoor fotosynthese mogelijk is.
