Real pumpkins look good for two weeks and then start to go. Our foam pumpkins keep their colour and shape, so the set you buy this September comes back out of the box next autumn and the one after. The same goes for the pine cones, dried flowers and wooden accents in this collection: no watering, no mess on the table, nothing to throw away in November.
Group a few pieces on a tray or a runner rather than spreading them out. Odd numbers of three or five look natural, and mixing heights keeps it from looking arranged.
An autumn terrarium is the one piece in this collection that keeps growing. You get the glass, the soil, the moss, the plants and the autumn details, and you build it yourself in about half an hour. Mini pumpkins and pine cones on top of the moss give it the season, and when autumn is over you take them out and the terrarium simply carries on as a green plant terrarium.
Every kit is put together in our own workshop in the Netherlands and shipped as a complete set, so you can start the evening the box arrives.
Halloween decoration does not have to mean orange plastic and fake cobwebs. Work with the deeper tones in this collection instead: dusty red and dark orange pumpkins, black or dark green glass, pine cones and a few candles or fairy lights for a low glow after dark.
The advantage of styling it this way is that nothing has to come down on 1 November. Take out one or two of the darkest pieces and you are back to a normal autumn display that runs on into the holiday season.
