Terrarium potting soil - 5 liters - For terrarium and bottle garden

Description

This potting soil is mixed for a plant terrarium or bottle garden. It stays airy, holds just enough moisture and does not clump, so the roots of your terrarium plants keep breathing inside a closed glass jar.

A bag of 5 liters fills several terrariums, or you top up one you already have. Handy if you build them more often, or if you are filling a taller bottle of 30 cm and up.

Why this potting soil

  • Airy structure, so no wet feet for your plants
  • Holds moisture without drowning the roots, made for a closed ecosystem
  • Ready to use, no mixing needed
  • Bag of 5 liters, enough for several terrariums

How to use it

  1. Start with a drainage layer of clay pebbles or lava rock at the bottom.
  2. Sprinkle a thin layer of activated charcoal over it.
  3. Add 4 to 8 cm of potting soil, depending on the height of your glass.
  4. Place your terrarium plants and press the soil down lightly.
  5. Add a small amount of water and close the glass with the cork.

  • Suitable for closed and open terrariums, bottle gardens and small houseplants
  • Store the bag dry and closed so the soil stays airy
